I found Japanese artist Ariko Inaoka the other day via the Tumblr TWIN-NIWT. I think she just might be my new favorite photographer!
Ariko started taking pictures of Icelandic identical twins Erna and Hrefna in 2009, when they were nine years old. Through the images, you can feel the connection between both sisters. It’s a unique bond twins have, somewhat mystic. Inaoka notes they have told her, “We dream the same dreams sometimes.”
She plans to photograph them every year until they are sixteen, and I plan to keep checking her website for new photos!
