Aren’t these just gorgeous?!  Stunning self portraits by Hungarian artist Flóra Borsi, that blur the lines between photography and painting.  At first glance, can you tell how they were made?  (Hint: they are photographs).

In her description of the series, called IRÉEL, the artist explains:
“A hyper-realist painter aims to achieve a result which looks like a real photographic picture.  A pictorialist photographer’s desired result is visually equivalent to a painting.”

Additional photos, including one behind the scenes, and more of the artists conceptual photography on her website.
